I reside in the SC area with my Husband and our 5 children (ages 18, 16, 14, 4, and 3). They keep me busy and inspire me to want to continue to be the voice for our children and to support our Teachers. I have worked in childcare for over 15 years and have enjoyed every bit of it. I am and will forever be a TEACHER. My philosophy has always been to take care of my Teachers so that they can provide the best care to our children. I am a strong advocate of professional development and growth. With so many changes happening in our society, it is important to me that our Teachers are well equipped to handle the many challenges in early care and education, and that they understand the whole child and what it means to be a quality Teacher. In my spare time I enjoy laughing, spending time with family/friends, and working.

I have worked at the Children's Center at Gracelyn for almost 24 years! I was a floater and classroom teacher before stepping into the Assistant director position. I believe that play and nature are an important part of a child's life. Children learn about themselves and the world through play experiences. My favorite activities to do with the children are art and nature exploration.  Watching children explore nature always makes me stop and take notice of this amazing world and all of it's possibilities. In my free time I enjoy gardening , baking, and reading. I love hiking with my husband and son and curling up with my cat and a good book.
